One in three billion women on the planet will be raped or beaten in her lifetime.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

One billion women violated is an atrocity.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

One billion women dancing is a REVOLUTION.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

On Thursday, February 14<\/strong> community members in Traverse City will be rising up and joining the revolution for One Billion Rising. \u00a0We will gather at the Grand Traverse Mall in Traverse City in the space between Taco Bell and Sbarro at 5:30 p.m. sharp<\/strong>. \u00a0This will be a flash mob–there will be no check in–just be in the area at this time and prepared to dance!<\/p>\n

You will not be alone. \u00a0We are going to dance our demands into action. \u00a0Together we will make our voices heard.<\/p>\n

One Billion Rising Dance Practices (Only one practice recommended)
\nDance practices will be held in the Oleson Center on NMC’s main campus
\nWednesday, January 30, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.
\nThursday, February 7, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n
