Arthur M. Schmuckal (1921-2012) passed away, Wednesday, November 14. \u00a0A longtime supporter of NMC, the building that houses the NMC University Center was named the Arthur M. and Mary E. Schmuckal Building in honor of their many contributions to NMC. \u00a0Art was a member of the NMC Foundation Board since 1983, and Art and Mary were both named NMC Fellows in 1989.<\/p>\n
President Timothy J. Nelson had this to say of Art’s passing:<\/p>\n
Art demonstrated the true meaning of friendship in his relationships with NMC and with each of us individually.\u00a0 I have great personal memories of the times Nancy and I have spent with Art.\u00a0 Always able to be funny and serious at the same time, Art could charm anyone.\u00a0 His commitment to family, to community and to people is something not as common as one might think.
