Focusing on our strategic driver of \u201cPeople First\u201d, this new offering allows NMC to emphasize our values of respect, inclusion, innovation, stewardship and excellence!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Please review the newly approved<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nmc.edu\/about\/policies\/board-staff\/D-720.02.html\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sick Leave Donation Policy<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> when you have time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Highlights of the policy<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Available to all employees who have a sick leave bank, with the exception of the SEIU contract members. The SEIU contract pays out unused sick leave at the end of the year and therefore is not eligible.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Human Resources will email employees when a need is identified.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recipients of the donated sick leave must have exhausted all sick and vacation time and be approved for FMLA leave.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You are not able to donate ahead of time, but in response to a specific need.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All donations are anonymous, and you will not know who is receiving the donation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the donation is not used, it will be returned to your bank.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Please reference the policy for specific limits on receiving and donating sick leave.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NMC is proud to offer a new benefit to employees who are eligible for Sick Leave.
