Describe the situation then follow the directions from the dispatcher.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 5%;\"><strong>Yell for help\u2014get others nearby to assist you.<\/strong> This takes the pressure off of you having to do it all yourself.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 5%;\"><strong>Direct someone to get an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) machine and administer treatment<\/strong>. An AED should be used when a person is unconscious, unresponsive and not breathing properly, indicating potential cardiac arrest. AEDs are located in a public area of all campus buildings.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/employees.nmc.edu\/depts\/emergency-mngt-plan\/emergencies\/defibrillator-locations.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/employees.nmc.edu\/depts\/emergency-mngt-plan\/emergencies\/defibrillator-locations.html&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1745429427984000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1VhNQGbg5vi6qzYJz4fP5I\">See a list of locations on this page<\/a>.
