The site also works better on the wide variety of devices used by today\u2019s students, staff, alumni and community members, including smartphones, tablets and larger computer screens.<\/p>\n<p>The new look was designed by NMC\u2019s Public Relations, Marketing &amp; Communications department and developed by Flight Path Creative, which provided technical and implementation services. The site\u2019s streamlined home page showcases unique college programs and also features a new color palette more reflective of NMC\u2019s campuses and the natural environment of the Grand Traverse region.<\/p>\n<p>The three-month process included focus group meetings with potential and current students, discussing how to make the site most user-friendly for them.<\/p>\n<p>Northwestern Michigan College is a publicly funded community college that serves more than 50,000 people, organizations and businesses annually throughout the Grand Traverse region and beyond. NMC offers associate&#8217;s degrees, bachelor\u2019s degrees through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nmc.edu\/maritime\/index.html\">Great Lakes Maritime Academy<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nmc.edu\/resources\/water-studies\/index.html\">Great Lakes Water Studies Institute<\/a>, professional certificates, and an extensive array of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nmc.edu\/resources\/extended-education\/index.html\">non-credit community classes<\/a>. NMC also is home to the <a title=\"(link opens new window)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dennosmuseum.org\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dennos Museum Center<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nmc.edu\/resources\/hagerty-center\/index.html\">Hagerty Conference Center<\/a>, <a title=\"(link opens new window)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wnmc.org\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WNMC 90.7 FM Community Radio<\/a>, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nmc.edu\/uc\/index.html\">NMC University Center<\/a>, whose eight partner universities grant baccalaureate, graduate and doctoral degrees.<\/p>\n<p>Flight Path Creative is a full-service brand communications firm based in Traverse City.
