\"Liebling,Mark Liebling joined NMC as Executive Director of Human Resources on July 20, 2015.\u00a0 He can be reached at\u00a0(231) 995-1342<\/a>\u00a0and at\u00a0mliebling@nmc.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mark was born and raised in the Detroit area and earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in International Studies and a master\u2019s degree in Labor and Industrial Relations, both from Michigan State. Mark has worked in Human Resources for more than 20 years, in both specialist and generalist roles, in companies including Walt Disney, Microsoft, Lehman Brothers and MasterCard.\u00a0 A passion to experience life abroad led him to take regional HR assignments based in Australia, Malaysia, Japan and Korea, ultimately spending 17 of the past 20 years overseas.\u00a0It was in 2002 in Tokyo that Mark met his wife, Huiseon (pronounced Heesun), while studying at a Japanese language school.\u00a0Mark and Huiseon have 2 children Daniel (6) and Romy (2) and have recently relocated from Seoul to Traverse City.\u00a0In addition to spending time with his family, Mark enjoys beaches and trails, cooking (and eating!), and is proud to have finished marathons in Honolulu, Naha and Tokyo.<\/p>\n
