Tickets are $8, call 995-1553 or&#160;<a href=\"http:\/\/prod1.agileticketing.net\/WebSales\/Pages\/VerboseEventList.aspx?epguid=89a03a7b-c4e0-4e03-9d3c-fbcaa8bb8e9b&amp;\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Opens in new window\">buy online<\/a>.&#160;Directed by Dorothy Eisenstein, the concert will feature two masquerade dances performed in celebration of Earth Day as well as multiple&#160;styles including modern dance, partner dance, improvisation, hip hop, belly dancing, and a special film\/dance presentation in collaboration with the visual communications department.<\/li>\n<li><span data-mce-mark=\"1\" style=\"line-height: 16px;\"><strong>Friday, April 24<\/strong> <\/span><span data-mce-mark=\"1\" style=\"line-height: 16px;\">NMC Concert Band performance, &#8220;Bang.&#8221; The performance will feature the&#160;<span data-mce-mark=\"1\" style=\"line-height: 16px;\">cannon sounds heard in the famous &#8220;1812 Overture&#8221; by Peter Tschaikovsky, as well as Jerry Bilik&#8217;s powerful, &#8220;American Civil War Fantasy.&#8221;<\/span><span data-mce-mark=\"1\" style=\"line-height: 16px;\">&#160;&#160;<\/span><span data-mce-mark=\"1\" style=\"line-height: 16px;\">The concert will include &#8220;An American Elegy,&#8221; Frank Ticheli&#8217;s hauntingly beautiful tribute to the Columbine High School tragedy of 1999, as well as lighter concert band fare.<\/span><span data-mce-mark=\"1\" style=\"line-height: 16px;\">&#160;<\/span><span data-mce-mark=\"1\" style=\"line-height: 16px;\">The concert features selections from &#8220;The Music Man&#8221; by Meredith Wilson, marches by John Philip Sousa and &#8220;Chorale and Shaker Dance,&#8221;<\/span><span data-mce-mark=\"1\" style=\"line-height: 16px;\">&#160;&#160;<\/span><span data-mce-mark=\"1\" style=\"line-height: 16px;\">a concert band standard by John P. Zdechlik.&#160;<\/span><\/span><span data-mce-mark=\"1\" style=\"line-height: 16px;\">7:30 p.m., Milliken Auditorium.
