NMC’s Engineering department, in conjunction with the Michigan Society of Professional Engineers, will be hosting the Northern Michigan Chapter of the annual MATHCOUNTS competition on Friday, February 10, 2023<\/strong> at the Beckett building<\/strong>. The event will take place from 12:30 to 5:00 p.m.<\/strong> and will consist of several rounds of timed math contests undertaken by middle-school teams. Volunteers are needed to help with set-up, scoring, and\/or clean-up. Interested parties may reach out to Jay Smith at jsmith@nmc.edu<\/a>\u00a0for more\u00a0information.<\/p>\n

NMC Engineering has hosted this event in partnership with MSPE for several years. This year’s competition is the first since 2020 due to the pandemic.\u00a0<\/p>\n
