Please e-mail <a href=\"mailto:cpaul@nmc.edu\">cpaul@nmc.edu<\/a> or call 995-1026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>New this year<\/em><\/strong>:\u00a0 Because NMC is committed to valuing all people, the Employee Recognition Committee has recommended that\u00a0<strong>beginning April 2012,<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>all regular faculty and staff service time will<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>include any adjunct and supplemental time<\/strong>\u00a0that was worked prior to becoming a regular employee.<\/p>\n<p>If you worked as adjunct faculty or supplemental staff before being hired into a regular position, that time will be added to your anniversary date.\u00a0\u00a0Service time will now include original hire date to present, minus any breaks in employment of one month or more.<\/p>\n<p>For 2012, you will receive a transition gift if you have received or will receive another service award within five years. This is to avoid taxation for receiving multiple service awards within a five year period. Your next service award gift will include your added service time, and will put you back on schedule for an award every five years.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any questions or concerns regarding this change, feel free to contact Lori at 5-1143.
