\"NagataThe Dennos Museum Center is pleased to announce the 2014-2015 Dennos Performance Season in Milliken Auditorium.<\/p>\n

From China to Japan, Kenya, Ghana, Mali and Madagascar; Celtic to American jazz, roots and blues, the 2014-2015 performing season in Milliken Auditorium has something for everyone to enjoy, including outstanding theater performances.<\/p>\n

The season opens with the ever popular Golden Dragon Acrobats<\/strong> from China and closes with the powerful Japanese Taiko drumming of Nagata Shachu<\/strong> In between will be the sultry jazz vocals of Joan Belgrave<\/strong>; blues, roots and folk with the likes of the Rockin Johnny<\/strong> band from Chicago, the ever popular Tab Benoit<\/strong> of Louisiana and Mike & Ruthy<\/strong> who amazed audiences with their own performances when appearing here with Jay Ungar and Molly Mason in our past season. The high energy playing of the African Guitar Summit<\/strong> and Scythian<\/strong>\u2019s Celtic fiddle are sure to have everyone out of their seats dancing before the concerts are over, while the Second City<\/strong> will have you laughing and the Cashore Marionettes<\/strong> will have you spellbound.<\/p>\n

The Dennos concert season has numerous collaborative partners for some of these productions including NMC Outreach Services, Student Life and Global Opportunities. The Osterlin Performance Endowment, The Hughes Family Trust, Arts Midwest, the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs and the National Endowment for the Arts provide financial support. Media support is provided by WNMC, TV 7&4 – 29&8, Northern Express and WCMU. Housing for performers is provided by the Cambria Suites and the Country Inn.<\/p>\n

In addition to offering public performances some of the performers will have educational offerings with special concert\/workshops for schools. Educators wanting information on these performances should contact the Dennos Curator of Education at 231-995-1029.<\/p>\n

Tickets may be purchased online at www.dennosmuseum.org<\/a>, www.MyNorthTickets.com<\/a>, and 1-800-836-0717 or at the Dennos Museum Center ticket kiosk. Tickets are also available at the Milliken box office, 231-995-1553 beginning October 15, 2014. Box office hours are 3-5 PM Wed \u2013 Sat.<\/p>\n

The Dennos Museum Center is open daily 10 AM to 5 PM, Thursdays until 8 pm and Sundays 1-5 PM.
