SunflowersThe Dennos Museum Center at Northwestern Michigan College will present the exhibition Ann Loveless: Art Quilts August 31–October 5, 2014.

Ann Loveless is a Northern Michigan textile artist who captures the beauty of Northern Michigan in her art quilts. Working from photographs Ann creates realistic landscape scenes using any three of her quilting techniques she has developed. Most recently Ann was awarded first place in the 2013 Art Prize Competition with her four-paneled art quilt “Sleeping Bear Dune Lakeshore.”

On Friday, September 12, 2014 at 7 p.m.  in Milliken Auditorium, Loveless will present a program entitled An Artist’s Journey – from Art Quilts to Art Prize. The program is being presented by the Dennos Museum Center and Jordan River Arts Council Rare Threads Project.

Tickets are $10 for general admission and $8 for Dennos and Jordan River Arts Council members.

The Dennos Museum Center is open Monday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday until 8 p.m. and Sundays 1-5 p.m. Admission is $6 for adults, $4 for children and free to museum members.
