Looking for an internship? Need your resume reviewed? Searching for a job? Need pointers on your cover letter? Be sure to utilize these individuals located  in two different departments on our campuses!

Meet: Dana Laursen

As the Career Coach at NMC, I am working with current students, former students, and alumni as they prepare to find a job. Reviewing resumes and cover letters, preparing for interviews, developing job hunting skills, and being available to share this information with classes and groups is part of the focus of the position. The bigger part is the human component. I have a great time engaging with my clients and helping them as they work through the job hunting process.

I work out of the Student Success Center in the Osterlin Building. Feel free to contact me at dlaursen@nmc.edu.

Meet: Amy Burns

As the Experiential Learning Program Coordinator for the Business and Technical Division, I coordinate all internships within both divisions. Similar to the Career Coach, I assist Business and Technical students with reviewing resumes and cover letters, preparing for interviews, and the internship/job search process. Many regional employers are looking for students in the computer, business, engineering technology, manufacturing, welding and automotive programs for fall employment and spring internships. Contact me to find out what is currently available and checkout the NMC internship webpage for more information.

My office is in the Parsons-Stulen Building on the Aero Park Campus.

This fall I will hold office hours on main campus in the James Beckett Building. Please contact me at aburns@nmc.edu or 995-2211 to set up an appointment.
