This year we are sending students this message rather than a mailing to inform you of the health insurance offered to students at Northwestern Michigan College. As you may know, Health Care Reform has created great changes in the insurance industry in the past couple of years.
Student health insurance is undergoing those changes as well. The policy now covers you for what is called “essential services” which includes preventive care and routine care. The plan has changed and we encourage you to review it to see if the policy will meet your needs.
