NMC Professional Communications students and TAHRA will host Career Kickstart, an event to provide the Grand Traverse community with free career assistance and professional attire, on April 11 in in the Welcome Center on NMC’s main campus.
Held from 10 a.m.–2 p.m., Career Kickstart is aimed at residents who are seeking to make themselves more employable with free, professional clothing and career assistance, including:
- Resume critique by members of TAHRA, the Traverse Area Human Resources Association
- Mock Interviews
- Career coaching
The students benefit by gaining communications experience through this service-learning project. Clothing was collected throughout the month of March.
