Administrative Services

  • Student Financial Services increased our role in student orientations. We talked with nearly every new student for fall about paying for college – financial literacy
  • Upgraded payment system (more user friendly) and implemented PayPath w/convenience fee reduces staff time by 216 hours Participated in HS Counselor breakfast by Admissions, brief presentation on Dual Enrolled payment procedures
  • Completed review and improvement of student refund process, eliminated approximately 2.5 hrs/week staff time
  • Compliance: set up procedure for tracking timeliness of departmental deposits
  • Purchased mobile credit card terminal for special events
  • Compliance: replaced several credit card terminals around NMC for better PCI compliance Met with international admissions staff (main campus and Aviation) to brainstorm better SFS service to students
  • Cash Handling intensive training for NMC staff responsible for cash handling, deposits and credit card transactions including policies, procedures and internal controls.

  • Asst. Director of Security completed PIO Awareness Training course (FEMA –IS 00029)
  • Conducted meetings with individual building managers (all campuses) Completed annual Fire Drill requirements (174 drills) (all campuses)
  • Completed Lock Down Drills – August (all campuses)
  • Departmental Safety/Security Reviews ( 28 Reviews completed) Campus Leave Removal (700 yards) to compost.
  • Coordinated with Central Scheduling and Administrative Services on new furniture placement and repurposing of existing furniture in multiple buildings.
  • Central Scheduling scheduled over 1,300 events and meetings
  • Hired a new Executive Chef to lead the Hagerty Center Culinary Team.
  • Brought in two new local events – Rotary Game Dinner & Interlochen Center of the Arts.
  • Completed a total renovation of the Audio Visual infrastructure at the Hagerty Center.
  • Began the integration of the Hagerty Center Marketing program with NMC PR department. This move will create a more effective/targeted campaign while saving time and money.
