Scott Herzberg, NMC’s Military & Veteran’s Services POC was awarded the distinctive Foundation Excellence Award at this year’s Retirement & Recognition Reception held April 13. Scott was honored for modeling NMC values in his daily work, work that resulted in NMC being named one of the top five “Best for Vets” community colleges nationwide.
Since taking on this role in July 2014, Scott has assisted over 200 military veteran students, building trust and relationships with them. These students are among his most ardent supporters, and in fact contributed to the submission to nominate him for this award. Congratulations, Scott, for your outstanding service!
