NMC’s Student Life Office announces the new Sound Bites series line-up for the Spring 2016 semester! All performances are FREE to attend in the NMC Hawk Owl Cafe from 11 a.m. -1 p.m.

- March 30 — Chris Sterr (Traverse City) Born in Detroit, Chris Sterr is a multifaceted guitar player and vocalist. His music inflicts a fusion of Jazz fusion, rock, blues, and soul.
- April 11 —
- 11 a.m. to Noon – James Cortright (Traverse City) Singer-songwriter; acoustic guitar, piano, and vocals.
- Noon to 1 p.m. – Bauer Jones (Traverse City) Guitarist; will be playing original music from his self-produced album; electric guitar and backing tracks.
- April 12 —
- 11 a.m. to Noon – Bauer Jones (Traverse City) Guitarist; will be playing original music from his self-produced album; electric guitar and backing tracks.
- Noon to 1 p.m. – Dustine Leppert. (Saginaw) Singer-songwriter; acoustic guitar and vocals.
- April 13 — Brady Corcoran (Traverse City) Singer-songwriter; Audio Tech Instructor; acoustic guitar and vocals.
- April 14 — Oh Brother Big Sister (Frederic)
Oh Brother Big Sister is an eclectic sensation! This brother and sister duo from Northern Michigan covers the music spectrum with a comfortable, comedic essence that makes you feel like your with old friends in the comfort of your happy place. OBBS delivers music that encompasses a wide variety of genres with an original acoustic sound that makes each performance an experience. This is their second time playing for the Sound Bites series and this performance is also a teaser for NMC’s Sweet Earth Arts and Music Festival to take place Saturday, April 16, 2016.
- April 15 — Sun Stones (Detroit) Strung together by emotive gestures of sound, Sun Stones is the manifestation of music over the last 13-years by Detroit based artist, Ryan Harroun. A multi-instrumentalist at heart, Sun Stones loops the sounds of stringed instruments to explore the layers of conscious and unconscious meditation that support a life of light, love and eternal growth.
