Jason Dake – Dennos Museum Center Curator of Education, has been selected as the NMC Employee of the Semester for spring 2015. Jason has displayed the values of Northwestern Michigan College as described below.
Since day one at the Dennos, Jason has demonstrated exceptional talent and dedication to his work at the museum as Curator of Education. He has been given a number of major assignments of increasing responsibility in exhibition development and management, beyond his usual job description and work load.
Jason has been fully responsible for the organization, installation, opening and programming of the Sideways skateboard exhibition this summer. He has developed an exhibition involving several national and international artists/designers making up significant components of the exhibition. It is a complicated project with many facets that opened May 31st. It goes far beyond what would have ever been expected on his first “solo” effort. His efforts are heroic.
For being selected as the Employee of the Semester, Jason will receive a framed certificate acknowledging his selection, a $25 gift certificate to a local restaurant, and a reserved parking spot for fall 2015 semester.
