NMC is offering an 8-week certification preparation program for prospective Certified Nurse Assistants beginning April 8 and invites anyone interested to a free information session March 11 from 5:30-7 p.m. at NMC’s University Center in room 207, off Cass Road.
In the 128-hour training, students will gain the knowledge and skills needed to take the Michigan Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation Test. By passing this test, students earn the stateCNA certification necessary to work in a variety of settings, including home healthcare agencies, nursing homes, retirement communities and hospitals.

Anyone interested must first attend the free information session on March 11. Call (231) 995-1700 to register. Program information and applications will be available. The next CNA training program runs April 8 through May 31, 2015. More information is online at www.nmc.edu/cna
