The microbiology class (Bio 208) is hosting Cafe Scientifique on Thursday, Nov. 13 at 11:30 a.m. on the couches near the cafeteria (under the Starbucks sign) in West Hall, main level.
The class will also host an evening version of this forum on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at Jolly Pumpkin on the peninsula at 7 p.m.
Cafe Scientifique was designed in Europe to bring science to citizens and to promote scientific thinking and discussion. (Learn more about the Cafe Scientifique concept here!) It also affords the microbiology students an opportunity to share, over a cup of coffee or adult beverage (at the Jolly Pumplni event), their rendering of content learned through the semester, and supplemented by individual research.
