Coming to NMC – the History of Rock and Roll!

rock n rollThe music department is offering a new course – MUS 129 History of Rock and Roll – this spring semester.

In this course students will study the development of rock music styles from its roots to the present, watch historical footage and listen to musical examples of each musical period.

MUS 129 is a Group 1 Course and will satisfy three credits of your Group 1 Humanities requirement. Come join us! (more…)

Red Ribbon Day takes place Oct. 27

red-ribbon-weekRed Ribbon Day is Monday, October 27, 2014. Get a red ribbon to wear and show your support for saying “no” to illicit drugs!

When you get your ribbon, you’ll also get a cup of coffee (the “legal drug”) on us! Come to the Welcome Center in the Health and Science building from 8-11 a.m.

An Outreach/Enrollment Specialist will also be available to help students sign up for free health insurance. (more…)

holidaysSave the date for the NMC Holiday Party on Friday, December 12, 2014 from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Hagerty Center on our Great Lakes Campus.

Employees and retirees, please mark your calendar and plan to attend. Watch for your invitation to arrive soon with more details.

New this year! Instead of our usual food drive, we’ll be collecting winter clothing at the party (coats, hats, scarves and gloves) to donate to Father Fred Foundation.
